I thought I had finished my garage-saling for the year 'til I saw this ad in the local Shopping Bag:
Shop-a-holic Mom's end of season sale... quality boys clothing sizes 2-7....must see...
Right, like I'm going to pass that up! Garage salers like me love to follow shop-a-holic Moms around and buy their cast-offs!
There was a light rain this morning, but lucky for me, the seller had all of her items displayed on hanging racks inside the garage.
Tell me -- how is it that some people have clothing with no stains? No pulls, no blemishes of any sort. I don't get it, but I like it! The clothes I bought today for my son are beautiful! I must be a slob or something, because I don't think I have a single white shirt of my own without some kind of stain on it. I use stain sticks, spot removers, etc, but even still my clothes don't come out of the wash as perfect as these used ones I bought today. And I'm an adult! Children get their clothes downright filthy! I guess I missed that day in homemaking school. Oh right, I'm just winging all of this!
Anyway, here's my haul from today's sale. 10 shirts, 2 pairs of shorts, 1 bathing suit, a couple of books and some toys. Old Navy, Gap, and Lands End. Nice stuff, huh? Not bad for $22. Yeah, I know -- I need to get a life! Things like this give me a serious buzz.
Can't wait til this lady's sale next year!

if she's a shop-a-holic, I'll bet some of them were never worn.....

Oh, I miss buying for little ones...I used to love garage sale-ing. Somehow it's just not the same down here.
Great shopping!

Oxy-Clean.
It gets out stains you wouldn't believe.
But I have no clue what she did about the pulls.

Good buys.
Get this, my sister goes shopping at garage sales and sends my kids boxes full of beautiful clothes, brand-name. We have so many I can't get them to wear them all.
I don't get that stain-free thing either. My kids wouldn't keep bibs on.

There's something about a little boy in a fireman's hat that makes me smile.

Hmm. Oxy clean! Alrighty then!!
The school bus is a huge hit here, as is the fireman's hat.

Sounds like a great haul! I don't have kids, and I still battle stains!

great shopping. I have a gal at work with a daughter one year older than Sweet Girl. This gal buys the primo stuff and I buy it for a song one year later. Gotta love that!
As for the stains, here's two great things: Shout makes stain wipes that you can keep at work, in your purse, etc. They're great when you have a spill; you can get it right away.
Also, when I wash I use oxyclean and Tide with bleach alternative. That stuff is great together!
Oh, and Michele sent me!

Sounds like quite the productive time at a sale! I haven't gotten into them yet, I know I would buy far too much if I got started.
