For this week's Carnival of the Recipes, coming soon to News From the Great Beyond...
Sometimes I want barbecued chicken but don't want to stand outside on an ultra humid day by the grill. Enter BBQ chicken in a crockpot - stay inside with the air-conditioning while your chicken cooks in BBQ sauce to tender perfection... ahhhh!
1 whole chicken
2 onions, sliced
2 cups barbecue sauce of your choice (I use Country Sweet, which may be just a western NY thing)
Place rinsed chicken in crockpot. Cover with onion slices and BBQ sauce. Cook on low 6-8 hours.
Couldn't be easier! and your house will smell wonderful while the crockpot does its thing!
That looks great. And soooo easy!

We had chicken tonight--but not like that. Sounds great and we'll try it soon. Speaking of BBQ (and not to toot my own horn), but I wrote a little diddy about BBQ in my last post.
